Hiking Ontario on International Trails Day June 2, 2012

Hikers and walkers alike have several guided hike opportunities this coming weekend with Trails Open Ontario part of Doors Open Ontario.

Two trails in Huronia give guided hikes on June 2, one in Midland and one in Penetanguishene, both taking hikers along the shores of Georgian Bay.

More Weekend Hikes in Ontario

As part of the Doors Open Owen Sound, guided hikes in the Georgian Bluffs Inglis Falls Conservation area take place on both Sat. June 2 and Sun. June 3. See more on Georgian Bay

Peterborough Ontario is organizing hikes along with the Otonabee Conservation Authority and have created a Peterborough Trails Day Festival. It all happens Saturday June 2, centred at Del Crary Park but happening along eight local trails. All events are free. Stay in the Peterborough area with a Romantic Getaway Package or  Book Peterborough Hotels

York Region Forest is also part of Trails Open Ontario with an OPP police dog demonstration.
