Family fishing and golf weeks until July 15

Family Fishing Week
Parents who want to take the kids out for the first time to golf or fish have a week of savings ahead. Two significant events are Family Fishing Week (Licence-free fishing in Ontario), and Take a Kid To The Course Week.  Both events end July 15.  This week is licence-free fishing week in Ontario, and a number of Ontario golf courses are offering free green fees. Needless to say Ontario beaches are close by for a swim to cool off.

Get the kids outdoors

Mix water sports with Family Fishing Week
Many parents are attempting to get the kids outdoors with affordable fresh air activities. This is a good week to save money and take a last-minute Ontario staycation close to home.  Many stories have appeared recently about childrens' nature deficit disorder.   Kids are losing touch with our natural world. Fishing and golf connect kids with outdoor activities.

Family Fishing Week

Licence-free fishing in Ontario is a an opportunity for parents to introduce the family to a fishing experience. This event previously has been a weekend only event in Ontario and now has been extended for the week to July 15. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources for the Province Ontario there are more than 250,000 lakes rivers and streams to consider for fishing, be it in a city, a Provincial Park or on crown land. Consider a day trip north in Ontario for some of the best fishing available.  Take a vacation overnight holiday with a fishing getaway package.

Take A Kid To The Course Week

Golfers can share the links with the kids this week at many golf courses across the country are offering free green fees for kids. This is a national event with Ontario have the greatest number of participating courses.   All courses will offer a minimum of one round of complimentary golf for a child, under the age of 16 who is accompanied by a paying adult.

Take advantage of the above affordable summer escapes before July 15.
