Barrie, Ontario is one of the featured Ontario destinations and is hosting “Doors Open Barrie” in conjunction with Carnegie Days and the MacLaren Art Centre.  The contributions of Andrew Carnegie and the Carnegie Library built in l917 are being celebrated from September 29-October 2.  Participants  will be able to explore heritage buildings, natural spaces, architectural showpieces and community landmarks at community events including walking tours of Downtown Barrie on Saturday October 1, Old Allandale (new site of Go Train Station), and Barrie’s Union Cemetery  See information on Barrie Walking Tours
