Boating on Lake Simcoe--No Boat? You can still take a cruise or launch a boat this weekend.

Lake Simcoe Boating-Water Festival Innisfil Beach
On Saturday, August 6th from 10am to 3pm  a group of local volunteers that are committed to preserving the health of Lake Simcoe invite you to come to the Innisfil Beach Park and send prayers, good wishes and promises of stewardship to the lake by launching small sail boats from the shore, each carrying a personal message of hope.  The boats are made of sugarcane and will disintegrate into the water.  They are completely biodegradable and not harmful to the lake or its inhabitants.  Stay in Barrie area resorts, inns, hotels. Throughout the day visitors can also view and participate in interactive displays and games with a variety of organizations, including Boating Ontario.  Also, out-of-towners that visit the park on August 6th will receive a passport at the gate, which will be stamped, and can be used for a parking pass on their next visit to the Innisfil Beach Park.   Want to Cruise Lake Simcoe check out Romantic Boat Cruises out of Barrie
