Downtown Barrie and The Barrie Farmer's Market presents the 3rd Annual Halloween Harvest &"Spook"tacular outside City Hall on Saturday October 29, 2011 from 8am – Noon. Enjoy horse drawn wagon ride and some ‘spooky’ face painting. Get a picture taken with a ‘spooky’ scarecrow and enjoy free Hot Apple Cider. Children 12 and under can participate in a “Costume Contest” (registration at 9am, judging at 10am, winner will be announced at 11am) or enter the Farmers Market’s Pumpkin Carving Contest. Stay in Barrie area hotels, inns, and resorts.

Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve
A Haunted House - October 30th
Join the Haliburton Forest staff for a bone chilling night of tricks and treats. The haunted house opens at 7pm and will run until 9 pm. It features a haunted walk through a forest filled with ghosts and ghouls, ending at a spine chilling mad house. This event is suitable for all ages and admission is by donation. Stay overnight in Haliburton area resorts, inns and cottages
