Winter in Ontario carnival fun includes skating, dog sledding, ice carvings, outdoor ice slides, outdoor curling, ice mazes, snow tubing, toboggan rides, wood splitting, wood burning fires, axe throwing, lumberjack antics, snow tubing, hot chocolate, hot cider, face painting, clowns, and smash-up car derbies. The 2011 Senior Winter Games is hosted in Haliburton at the same time as Winterfest.
