While listening to today's Fresh Air interviews of chefs and farmers on CBC and their excitement surrounding the fresh asparagus, reminded me to head over to Barrie's farmers market. I had may first taste of fresh asparagus last week after visiting Barrie Hill farm just north of Barrie. I actually enjoyed two raw spring spears on the way home.......... crisp and delicious.
