Lake Simcoe is one of the closest resort destinations north of Toronto. Lake Simcoe is considered to be the fourth largest lake in the province and one of the worlds largest fresh water lakes that freezes completely in the winter. Lake Simcoe has been designated by many as a perfect summer destination of Ontario. Barrie and Orillia are the two major cities on Lake Simcoe. The regions of York, and Durham all provide access to Lake Simcoe.
