Maple Syrup Festivals-a Spring Tradition north of Toronto
See first hand the boiling of the sap, (sweet water) and the making of the maple syrup. Enjoy fun family events at any one of the maple syrup spring festivals listed below. More than a dozen Maple Syrup Festivals are taking place some as early as the end of February
Recent news about Maple Syrup production from the Haliburton-Kawarthas Maple Syrup Producer indicates that start dates have moved earlier into the beginning of March.

Some areas of the province in more moderate climate regions amy even start earlier.
Maple syrup starts running when the temperature during the day is +5 C, and during the night
drops to -5 C.
