Muskoka Fall colours leaf changes September 27, 2007
The Ministry of Tourism updates indicate The Parry Sound and Muskoka regions are starting to see some good fall colour with a 50% change at this time with some pockets of bright orange and red. Over the next few weeks, a boat cruise of these areas is a wonderful way to enjoy the fall colours. Ontario Apple Picking Time North of Toronto
The last weekend in September in Ontario is a time for Apple Harvest family fun. Apple Picking is one of the favorite fall activities that the entire family can take part in.
In addition there are a number of Apple Harvest Festivals taking place.
Brighton Ontario Applefest: The community of Brighton is situated in eastern Ontario and is surrounded by rich agricultural land with an abundance of apple orchards and roadside farmers, stalls.To celebrate the bountiful apple harvest at the height of the apple harvesting season Brighton celebrates its annual Applefest festival in the last full weekend of September.
Meaford Ontario Apple Harvest: Over 200 exhibits to visit and shop at including needlework, leather, blacksmithing, woodworking, colonial tinware, wooden and stuffed toys, collectibles, stained glass, pottery, folk art, paintings in various media, photography ...... and much, much more.
Pick your fall color drive to Brighton , or a fall colours drive in the Meaford Georgian Bay area.

Ontario Fall Colour Peaking in Resort Destinations
As of today the Ministry of Tourism is reporting that the Algonquin Park Highway 60 corridor is at 85% colour change in certain high elevation areas.
Most other areas of the province north of Toronto are ranging between 25%-50% colour changes.

Algonquin Provincial Park is an extremely popular fall colour destination. The colour has advanced quickly this week to a 50% change. There are some areas of burgundy and bright red and orange along Highway 60. The Highway 60 corridor, through the park, offers an outstanding fall colour drive. An ideal viewing location, during the fall colour period in Algonquin Park, is the view from the observation deck at the world class visitor centre. Ragged Falls, just off highway 60 outside the west gate of the park, also offers an ideal viewing location. Suggested Algonquin area fall colour road trips .
