The service providers here do not miss one opportunity to offer 'little extras' for guests and make use of idle time. Whether it's sending the pedicure tools and left over lotion or the exfoliating gloves home with the guest or giving a leg massage while the mask dries or a head massage while the client is wrapped up, the guest is always made to feel spoiled!

The health questionnaire that guests are asked to fill out at this spa is a two way communication tool. The client is asked pertinent questions, but also reads information about opportunities and procedures that are good to know.

Ontario Beach Time Just Around the Corner
Ontario is "Beach Country"
As Ontario's lakes melt, summer beaches come to mind and a number of stories are starting to appear about Ontario's beaches. We who live in Ontario know we have some of the best beaches in the world, and close to home or the new "staycation "family will be looking for great Ontario fun beach experiences. Westerners thinking about Ontario as a holiday destination should read "Beach Blanket Ontario" byJoanne Laucius about "Ontario's Great Beaches" . Although the focus is towards the amazing stretch of Wasaga Beach (the longest fresh water beach in the world) along Georigan Bay, there are 100's of Ontario fresh water beaches waiting for family fun, or remote beaches for summer romance and private getaways. Most Ontario resorts have lakefronts with beaches, or access to nearby lakes with sand beaches. See more Ontario beaches.

"It’s the first official day of spring and it is going to be a beautiful sunny, early spring type day with temperatures edging up to around the +4 degrees Celsius mark across ski country. Snow surfaces will start off the day as machine groomed granular snow and turn soft later this afternoon. We can expect a great spring ski weekend on the slopes and trails with temperatures reaching the +4 to +6 degrees Celsius range along with lots of sunshine. We still have a few cross country opportunities available as well; however they are limited to the snow belt areas of central and northern Ontario."

Weather forecasts for the upcoming week suggest good sap flow may occur early in the week and again by the coming weekend. Ontario Spa Getaways: Stress relief during tough times!!
Photo: St. Anne's Spa Northeast of Toronto
The study compared consumer trends in 15 countries including Canada. The study claims to be the most thorough and up-to-date information on why people spa. “And hands down, in every single country, the number one reason people go to a spa is to relax and relieve or reduce stress.”
Visitors travelling north of Toronto can be assured that the level of stress reductions starts the moment you drive into the many rural and lakeside settings in the resort destinations in the many towns, villages, and communities in Ontario’s rural heartland.
Ontario Travel North of Toronto identifies a number of Ontario Spas, as well as more than 30 spa packages for day visits or a mini holiday combined with overnight accommodation. Girls spa weekends have become popular for girlfriends getaways where spa treatments create a level of bonding and friendship renewal in a relaxed atmosphere of more pristine environment away from city life and day-to-day tasks. Many of the spa locations operate on a year round basis offering spa treatments by spa professionals in a soothing lake side setting
"We've known stress relief was the primary reason why Americans (Canadians)visited spas. Now, with the ISPA 2008 Global Consumer Study we know stress is the number one reason people visit spas worldwide," said ISPA President Lynne McNees. "Stress affects more than just our lives at work and at home, it affects our health. So take time to de-stress, by getting a massage; it could end up saving your health down the road."
Other key findings from the ISPA 2008 Global Consumer Study include:
- Worldwide, massage is the most popular treatment.
- In North American & Europe, roughly 50% of spa-goers used a gift card.
- The top motivators for visiting a spa are recommendations from family, friends or health care practitioners, and price incentives.
The ISPA 2008 Global Consumer Study is available at www.experienceispa.com.
