A short getaway is just what you need this holiday weekend. Before you pack up your car and the kids, keep in mind the following traffic safety tips to help get you where you are going safely.

Pack with Care:
When packing up the car, make sure you can see out of all the windows. If items must be placed outside the vehicle make sure that they are safely secured using a roof rack or cargo carrier.

Driving with Kids:
Children who are bored, hungry, or fighting with their siblings can turn a pleasant family outing into a stressful situation. Make sure to bring toys, games, colouring books, books, movies and DVD players to help keep kids occupied.

Buckle Up:
Make sure that you and your passengers are wearing seatbelts at all times. If you are travelling with a baby or child ensure they are seated in a properly installed car seat or booster seat.

Safe Driving:
Drivers should always obey the rules of the road and never speed, tailgate or weave in and out of traffic. In case of an emergency, CAA offers roadside service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.janron32https://www.blogger.com/profile/03337884733564268899noreply@blogger.com
